As part of the N.C. Department of Revenue’s efforts to reduce printing costs and encourage electronic filing, the agency will not provide tax forms to public facilities like libraries and post offices this year.
Taxpayers are encouraged to file their taxes electronically. It’s quick and convenient and it reduces the chance for errors on your return. You can learn more about e-filing at the NC Dept of Revenue’s website.
Individual taxpayers may order forms by mail at no cost by calling the department toll-free at 1-877-252-3052 or visiting the NC Dept of Revenue’s website and completing an online request for forms. Taxpayers can also download the forms and print them at the site as well (Perry Library charges 10 cents per page to print). Download forms here
State tax forms are available for free at the NCDOR’s Local Service Center in Raleigh at 4405 Bland Rd. Raleigh, NC 27609, (919) 850-1100.
