Who we are
Perry Memorial Library is a non profit library located at 205 Breckenridge Street down town Henderson NC. Our goal is to provide our community with services, resources, programs, and information for lifelong learning, leisure activity, and early literacy.

What will I find at the Perry Memorial Library?
Books
Whether its James Patterson, Nicholas Sparks, or Ernest Hemingway, we strive to have books by all the authors you love. Best-sellers, mysteries, westerns, fantasy and science fiction as well as non-fiction and biography titles are are available to adults and children. New books are added on a continual basis.
We offer free downloadable eBooks and eAudiobooks for checkout through Overdrive and many NCLive resources. To find the NCLive resources go to the Research tab above and click on "eBooks, eMagazines".
Large Print Books
Best-sellers, mysteries, westerns, fiction and non-fiction titles, including biographies, are available in large print format. Large Print books are kept in their own section on the second floor of the library.
Magazines
The library subscribes to many magazines from People to AARP, fashion to business. The current issue of each magazine is not available for checkout, but all issues within a year are available. Also many back issues are available for purchase at 5 cents each.
Newspapers
In addition to the local paper, The Daily Dispatch, the library carries many of the major newspapers - News and Observer, Wall Street Journal, and more.
Audiobooks
Books on CD are great for commuters, vacationer, or just for fun. The library carries fiction and non-fictions titles for adults, children, and teens. Books on Playaways are also available. These are preloaded MP3 players. All you need is headphones and you can listen to them on the run. They can also be listened to in your car if you have an Auxiliary cord capability.

DVDs
DVDs are available for checkout at the library. We have popular movies, classics, and some television series. We also have many nonfiction titles on gardening, exercise, travel, important events, biographies and much more.
