Meeting Rooms
The library has two defined meeting rooms:
The Farm Bureau Room seats up to 80 people and has a kitchen, restrooms, and built-in audiovisual equipment. $25/hour
The Board Room seats 20 and includes audiovisual equipment. $15/hour
Booking a Room:
Non-profit and government departments and agencies are eligible to use the library’s meeting rooms free of charge. Proof of Non-profit status is required. Commercial and for-profit groups and individuals will be assessed a fee for the usage of meeting rooms.
A walkthrough of the meeting room(s) is required before and after your meeting to assess the room for damages or technical issues.
Requests for bookings must be submitted at least five days before the date of the meeting or event. Bookings can be made in person at the Circulation Desk, or, by calling 252-438-3316 ext. 234. Booking forms may also be downloaded and faxed to 252-438-3744. You may also email them to Nastassia Debnam at ndebnam@perrylibrary.org . The library will respond with a decision concerning a faxed or emailed booking request within two days after the request is made. A booking is not confirmed until notice has been provided by the library.
Bookings for meeting rooms are on a first-come basis. However, programs and events sponsored by the library, the Friends of the Perry Memorial Library, the Embassy Foundation, or government agencies will take first priority over all other bookings.
Meeting rooms may be reserved up to three months in advance of the meeting date and are available for booking during the library’s normal hours of operation only.
The library must be promptly notified of any cancellations of bookings.
Meeting rooms are not to be used by commercial or for-profit businesses, groups, or individuals for the promotion or sale of products or services.
Meeting rooms are not available for private social functions (i.e birthday parties, reunions, baby showers) or fundraising events.
Meeting rooms cannot be used as a regular meeting place for any organization, as we cannot guarantee set days and/or times.
For training on how to use our audiovisual equipment, you must schedule time with IT coordinator, Thomas Milam , by calling (252)438-3316 ext 229 at least a day before your meeting.
Study Rooms
The library has two study/tutor rooms:
Large Room holds maximum of 4 people.
Small Room holds maximum of 2 people.
An adult age 18 or older must be present in the room at all times.
Use of the rooms is free of charge.
Rooms are available any time the library is open.
Rooms may be reserved by visiting or calling the Reference Desk 252-438-3316 ext. 236.
Rooms may be reserved for 2-hour sessions.
Rooms not previously reserved are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
